With a value of $176 million, size of 359,000 SF, and capacity of 3,500 students, Aquilla J. Morgan High School now takes the title of the largest high school in Hillsborough County. This grand new-build high school’s academic spaces include modern, spacious classrooms, a culinary lab, automotive lab, cosmetology lab, digital art studio, and game design space. Activity spaces include a two-story media center, two-story gym with a two-lane indoor walking track, football field, theater, and auditorium with an orchestra pit.
The high school was built not only to relieve enrollment at Riverview, Bloomingdale, Sumner, and Lennard high schools, but to also serve as a community shelter during emergencies.
